Mainly it's because the quad is 2 inches from RA with the only way of attack on that area being either past the water (which, if you have a guy at RA, he can hear the elevator from mega and easily take out anyone coming that way) or past the GL by Quad, which is waaaay too tight to attack if there's someone at Quad. Since there is no pent, and only one RL and Shaft on the map, as well as no 2nd RA, there's no viable way to break a well setup control of the map. The map isn't that bad when neither team is that good on it, but once you've played it a couple of hundred times... it'll get bad. |

Apparently dak means that ra camper secures that way Hagge. Especially when there is a spawn at RA! "but once you've played it a couple of hundred times... it'll get bad" wow dak, your incite on maps sure is great, worst bullshit I have ever heared :) |

To get to the stairs that go straight to quad you have to go by the elevator at mega now... the waterway from RL was removed. That's what made E2M2TDM even worse than E2M2. When you go by elevator, the RA guy will hear unless he's deaf, and he'll be waiting right at GL. It's like trying to get past a guy camping RA/Ring at DM3 through tunnel - you pick that ammo up and he'll hear you, and be waiting. What I meant to say with that comment was that people will learn the map to the point that chokepoints as bad as the ones I pointed out will lead to unbreakable control. A good rule of thumb when making maps is the unbreakable chokepoints, if there are any, shouldn't be on the same side as the team that's in control of Quad. That way goes inbalance, and that way goes a possibly good map down the drain. |

And I think you mean insight Link... and yes, having played just about every custom map out there as well as made my own, I do believe my insight on mapmaking and maps in general is pretty good. And I don't mean that in a boasting way. Fuck you and your every-custom-map-is-better-than-tb3 philosophy. There are good custom maps, and there are bad. This one is bad. |

Let me rephrase that last sentence. This one is, in my not-so-humble opinion, worthless. There. :p |

So how can you secure RA dak, if you are going down to own and enemy that comes from LG? |

Depends. If RA is up you either pick it up or let a mate pick it up. If you're full and can't pick it up you bore a rocket and pick it up. 20 sec to own enemy. If it's due you can keep him at bay by spamming the water (there's one point he'll have to cross due to the steps being in the way, sorta) until it spawns. If it's just been picked it's not a problem. God forbid that a nmy pops behind you when taking care of him though, omfg, you might die! /sarcasm off. |

Greit match this was. I'll have to say im surprised by our performance with so little praccine. GTG played with strict and defensive tactics. NICE! And made such counter-attacks that we weren't able to prevent them from getting the maps in control. These kind of tactical playing is also called 'nysv?ys' in finnish. ;D |
