| maybe to clarify .. we said we didnt want to play with sassa after dm2 already .. not just because he was top fragger in dm3 (which just added to the confusion .. you know people that suffer lag dont dance around at the top over on red).
Anyways it is my understanding that QW normally doesnt make others suffer the lag of someone else. I dont know what is causing this. But I can assure you all it makes it hell to hit him and it doesnt seem to affect him alot (can you bunny hop if you "lag" this much?).
Maybe Sassa is really the QW god. But this warping has no place in QW and I am quite certain that such an avid QA gamer can manage to get a decent provider if this is really such a huge problem (I cant remember lagging this much during my 56k days and even then I remember that I got creamed by cable modem players who had no problems with me lagging ..)
I dont know the QW source but I am hoping that the developers of server knew what they were doing. In that case the server determines the reality. Which means that all a client can do is express his "wishes" of how to affect the "reality". This means that Sassa shouldnt be doing anything funky on the side of other clients. Sassa's lagging should just result in some of Sassa's commandos not being received or being received with a delay on the server. Which would mean that Sassa must be having huge trouble bunny hoping, dancing around red on dm3, hopping over to mega in dm2 and even forget about any in fights or tight rocket shooting. On the other peoples side all that would happen is that Sassa would occationally be walking into things, getting stuck on corners, stupidly fall from things and generall be easy fragging. Whatever is going on its a bug in the QW server. Either its a cheat or its just a bug .. in either case it needs to be fixed and Sassa shouldnt be allowed to play official matches until then (if more people suffer from this then this would just make a need for a fix more urgent). Anyways I am not convinced that Sassa is suffering at all. However people who have to play him definately are suffering as you can see from looking at the match comments. |

| I gotta say that after zoo vs maniacs i did hear similar remarks from our players. Sassa apparently makes 4-5 meter (quakemeter) warps which makes hitting him nigh impossible. :/ |

| yeah that is gay. Ive played a few cable modemrs and its not that bad but tracking them is very hard imo. usually when its said to the other player they have no idea what your on about, but it is very very annoying to play against |

Doesn't that just sound like a great solution? :P and all games where he already had played should result in wo for the enemy team of course! :) |

| I mentioned Sassas warping problem after our Nqr game. ( and during the game) Like Luckyshot told somethimes it was impossible to shoot him. Sassa has something like 25-30 ping and no pl. Or 1-3 max. After games I watched the demos from sassas pov and it wasnt affecting on his gameplay. Really GG when he has Q and you are trying to kill him but no way. I just cant believe bad connection is real reason for this. |

| Ok I just watched the entire dm3 demo through sassa's pov. I have seen people run through the map smoother than he is. However he didnt once bump into a wall, fall of anything or missed a jump. I have seen people boomstick better but this was nothing bad at all. Actually he seemed to be doing quite well in all boomstick fights. Please have a look at the dm3 demo [1] and tell me that this guy is lagging. Yes he is warping in the demo but no he is not lagging. Whatever is causing this it is not lag.

| i agree with the "sassa's warping is highly annoying" part but don't go accusing him of cheating straight away :) i'm a bit suspicious however on how is it possible that the lag he claims to have has no visual effect on his own gameplay but everyone else notices and suffers from it. but maybe sassa has just got used to the lag and truly is div1 material :) |
