Well, well. Kala went kenya on us and picked CMT3 - it was a bit unexpected, but they were good at it. As you may have noticed if you'd spotted us on ASE, we've played this map pretty often the last few weeks, just getting ready for NQR. Sadly, UL hasn't been playing QW for the last few weeks, much less pracced with us, so he was a bit lost at times :) Kala picked up the first RL, LG and Quad. We got the armors, as well as pent and ring, but they didn't help us much. Even though it gave us control of RA the first minute, we were unable to get weapon support. Right before the third quad boome managed to pick up an RL and Kala could claim the RA/Quad area from us. The first five minutes belonged to Kala. We picked up the second pent, and slowly started regaining the map. With half the game played, we had control of RA and could pick up the third pent unthreatened by any hostiles. That was too much freedom in our reins to handle, and by the 12th minute played, we had lost the map. It continued to weigh in the balance with only a handful of frags leaning Kala's way. Having 3 rls on the map against our 0, they could easily pick up the last pent and secure the win. Good game! /dak - by Griffins Tappra Gossar

This round turned out alot closer than I think anyone expected. We picked E1M2 because we weren't sure how strong Kala were on DM2. We soon found out just how good they were on E1M2. The first quad went our way, while they got the first RL. Quad died from a lucky pine (no, really, it wasn't even aimed at quad!) and RL was "s?nderbr?stad" at GL (had to flee to GA). The second RL died, and Kala picked up the third. With Kala having one RL newly picked, and one fleeing to pick up health, we got it without incident. While quad killed one RL at GA area, the second stole YA area from us and they were in control as the third quad was due. After some chaos at quad, they end up with a second RL and a quad in a 30 sec 'fleeing mode engaged' for health. On like this it went, with us pushing for quad, and them not having quite enough strength to make use of it. After 5 minutes, they were in the lead with 30 frags, and things were looking grim. After 10 minutes, we had three RLs and a GL on the map and it was tied! After another 5 (that's 15 for you guys who failed math), they'd retaken the map and were 20 frags up again. 4 minutes to go, 10 frags up. 3 minutes to go, TIED! 2 minutes to go, we were finally in the lead, and we kept fragging 'til the bell rang. SR-spawns engaged. We got BOTH RLs (and both died), Quad, AND Pent. With that start, it was hard to fail in gaining control of the start of the map, but somehow Kala managed to get second YA/RL and almost killed our quadder. Kala kept winning the fights at square, and when second quad faded they still had two RLs waiting - same as us. They used them well and got third quad. CMT4 usually turns out to be a battle of the quads, and though we squared that battle 2-2 after first four quads, they used theirs to much greater efficiency than ours. After loosing the golden platter start, we finally managed to steal a quad right before pent. Kala were 30 frags up when the second pent spawned, but that soon changed. A minute after quad/pent, it was 20 frags. One minute more, it was 10. One minute more, and it was practically tied. It stayed tied, and quads weren't lasting long, until it was time for the third pent. Knowing quad would come before pent, we focused our efforts there and got it safely, keeping YA in the taking - soon we had quad/pent running around the map again. Slowly, slowly we increased our fraglead, and with 5 minutes remaining we were up to a massive 13! :) The game was still very much alive. After a short but busy period with Kala gaining the last pent and nearly retaking the lead, a sweet and daring move by griffin at YA secured the map and we started increasing our lead again. The battle of the quads ended in favor of GTG - 11 to 9 :) Good games guys, better luck next time! /dak - by Griffins Tappra Gossar

I think ebloz must've been in some fkn godlike state of mind today :) but maybe we will see him play this great more times? will be interesting to see :) nice to see that kala shows that they not are some fragbags.. hope the other "div2" teams as link calls them will show us that :) gonna watch demos! btw.. e1m2 must've been overtimed right???
