Griffins Tappra Gossar 2 - 1 Game Over

CMT4 - Andromeda 9

140-221

Reports
CMT4 started very well for us, and despite GO getting both powerups, we had control of the first couple of minutes. It lasted until the 4th minute, at which time GO had their whole team, at least half loaded up with a weapon/armor, and managed to break our rusty rule. The second pent went their way after the 5-minute quad died seconds after being picked up. James Bonde, secret agent, managed to squelch the threat of their 6-minute quad by being hemlig at ya. The rest of the map was lost for both teams as GO kept relative control over YA and slowly increased their lead as they picked up the 8th, 9th, 10th AND 11th quad (although the latter died shortly after from a discharge). The GTG crew tried to put their paws on the third pent, and even though they gained a foothold at the GL area it didn't last long enough and in the end only resulted in delaying the GO forces from prevailing for the third time in a row. At this point, with 50 frags up and only one pent to go, the enemy in charge of YA, it was looking grim. We were close on a number of occasions of taking over YA, but were just not strong enough on the powerups. Showing up in force for the 16 minute quad, the last prior to pent, proved futile as a non-equipped UL picked it up and was only able to disrupt GO's pent squad slightly. The last 5 minutes were only a show, as the game was already in GO's pocket with all 4 pents and 12 of the quads going their way. GG, and well played guys! /dak - by Griffins Tappra Gossar

E1M2 - Castle of the Damned

308-142

Reports
The game started in chaos. The first quad went WO's way, shortly thereafter killed by our RL, which in turn was killed shortly thereafter by GO boomers. The first half of the game followed the trend pictured above, but it wasn't all bad. Although we didn't have a very secure foothold on YA, we did manage to pick up a good percentage of the RLs spawning, and kept them from lingering in GO hands. By halftime, we'd outscored our norwegian neighbours by roughly 70 frags. Not a completely reassuring lead, considering the game had at this point developed into something of a "chicken farm". However, after those first ~10 minutes of chaos, a rudimentary shell of control appeared at YA/GL, and shortly thereafter we had three RLs on the map for the first time. That shell hardened ever so slightly with time, and by the end of the round I think I can safely say that a third, if not half of the frags, came from those last 5 minutes. GG guys! /dak - by Griffins Tappra Gossar

CMT3 - DeutschMaschine

Reports
What is it with you guys and CMT? Doesn't anyone play DM2 anymore? Ah well, enough rambling from me. The round in favor of GO, despite an early mistake which cost them their first RL. They managed to keep a control of RA/Quad area for the first 4 minutes, after which they didn't keep enough pressure on RL/YA to keep us from stealing a quad. With them so recently losing control, the second pent went safely our way, followed by a period of GTG control. By halftime, and right before the third pent, GO were able to launch a successful strike on RA, putting us much in the same situation as they were in earlier, with one exception - we had more time to recouperate. Keeping pressure on RA, eventually they lost their weapons and ended up holding on by their teeth. In that state, they weren't able to show up for third pent and it went easily into GTG hands. Securing the map with pent/quad was childsplay, and with half the time remaining we were up roughly 75 frags. A period of unrest followed, at the end of which GO were in control and were able to put pressure on the few RLs we had left. The last pent went their way without competition. Although GO were in control at this point, we were still 80 frags up. Biding our time and waiting for the bell never came into mind however, as we shortly thereafter eliminated one GO-RL and stole the next quad. With one RL only left, GO would have trouble of keeping both RA and Quad safe. Pressure applied, quad stolen, and their RL suffered the consequences. Shortly thereafter we had 4 RLs on the map, and had secure control of RA/Quad. Game Over! (cheap shot, sorry but couldn't resist :D) GGs guys! /dak - by Griffins Tappra Gossar
