Griffins Tappra Gossar 2 - 1 Insanity!

DM3 - The Abandoned Base

135-179

Reports
Alas, our first game without James Bonde in the lineup, and we happened to start on DM3. Could the day start worse? Well, actually, there was some annoyance about two of our players being unable to reroute to 38 ping (we had 2 at 28, they had 1). Now I'm all for fair pings, but this is a bit silly. 26 26 38 38 vs 26 38 38 38. Honestly that's alot better than it usually is without having to use minping, and I wouldn't have complained had Insanity been the ones in favor. It pissed Apok off, and as such, he benched himself in frustration and let spz take his place. We started poorly, Insanity getting basically everything on the map except for LG. They used their early advantage well, and were 50 frags ahead before you could say chocolate frizbee. Eventually we pushed our way into the game, gained a shaky control, and screwed it all up. This repeated itself over and over, and as usual, we had to toss in forgetting about a pent in there somewhere or the DM3 would not be complete. In the end it was a pretty poor game - from both teams - and I'm not at all certain we couldn't have won it if we had been the ones fullspawning. /dak - by Griffins Tappra Gossar

E1M2 - Castle of the Damned

187-177

Reports
Ahh, E1M2. Home sweet home. But wait, something's wrong. Things seem to happen that aren't supposed to happen. I don't think I've ever seen so many RL-TK's in a GTG game since we let BOHK and CSK play all at once! Anyhow, with 3-4 mins to go, Insanity figure their roughly 50 frag lead is gonna be enough to hide the rest of the map. Uh-huh. If I'm allowed to be a little clich? here for a second and quote the good ol' "You can run but you can't hide", the last 3-4 minutes were a fragfest. There wasn't a spot on the map that wasn't covered by our constant vigilance (C) Prof. Moody. Had Insanity just tried to fight for the game a little while longer it would've been enough - luckily for us, they didn't. /dak - by Griffins Tappra Gossar

DM2 - Claustrophobopolis

248-105

Reports
Ahhh, truly, this is where we belong with this lineup. Even though Insanity spawned telly, got the first Quad with an RL, he didn't live very long. Owned at water, and pack going our way, we soon secured the main part of the map. Second low-rl went Insanity's way however, and they were able to put up an ever so tiny bit of resistance. Eventually our control broke, and Insanity ran the quad for a couple of minutes. Didn't help them much though; here's a hint guys - when you quad low-rl, don't jump in the lava! Eventually we got control back again, but never managed a real full map lock for more than a minute or two at a time. Never letting Insanity settle and get back on their feet was enough however, and we ended up with rather demolishing numbers despite it being a much more even game. GGs guys, better luck next time. /dak - by Griffins Tappra Gossar
