If its true that Insanity used ventrilo, I would like to make a complain. They had 2-3 specs. How can I know that they havent been on the voice giving sensitive information to the playing Insanity players? Its not an attempt to be lame, but I just want to create a debate around the issue. I hope this is a wakeup call for all players and admins of NQR.
Since there is no clear rule against any kind of voice+spec, I suggest we should try to talk about it, and find a workable solution.
Alow only cams with 1min delay?
Give a fuck and dont care if teams wanna use this chance to get an advantage over the oppenent? Or perhaps forbidd mm3?
Imho, I think 3. choice is unduable. 2. is bad for 4on4 online play/leagues. And 1. is difficult since we play the league matches on public servers, and not enough admins to control each game.
And for those of you, unfamiliar with mm3, and think my thoughts is lame, and think; "It doesnt matter if they have voice with specs or not. The game is too fast." Well, Im sorry. But you are wrong.
Now, I would like to see some comments about this. What do YOU think?

I would also like to add, that my intention is not to get a WO, nor rematch. The results are fine. Insanity rockz0r in the bokz0r on dm2. But clearly, I would love the admins to make an effort and do something about the issue.

When we with SD have a game we have quite a few sd/sd2 players who watch the game, would kinda rude for them to deny them access. Ofcourse you can set one specslot free who can be cam for the viewers, or something like that.

The rules sound pretty clear to me, guess Insanity just forgot to tell admins this time ;)

Better to just ban voice coms in nqr games though... Makes it more fair too ('no com clan' vs 'com clan') or what you want to call it. And clans wont need an admin present to check up on them..

well ocoini, the problem is that it's totally impossible to ban it successfully, you can't know where the clans use use their communication. They could be sitting at the same place too, impossible for admins to see... Just like eggclocks/angelina.

To Police this issue is hard, extreamly hard. But however if clans use common sense about this they should now it is wrong to have more then 4 players on your voice communication software during an official NQR Game. But if we receive a complaint and somehow manage do get evidence of a clan "cheating" and allowing clanmates spec/talk/relay enemy positions during game we will take serious actions on that clan.

I think a solution might be to give serverip/pass to voicecom to the opponent, so that they can check whenever they want. If they're paranoid, they can even idle in a match, multitasking and control the other team. :)

What about clans that dont tell you they use voice com? There is no siimple way to police this and I think we just have to trust our fellow qwers. Spectators 0 here we come.

HLTV has a nice solution to this: the HLTV specs see a delayed version of the game. The length of this delay is adjustable via rcon; why not introduce a delay feature to ktpro? I dunno if this is even possible mind....

Anyway QW is quite fast so a 30-45 second delay would be sufficient...

But as u can see we only had aki speccing and he seriously hasn't got a working mic (not a lie!!! :x ) We only did ventrilo cheating 1 time with prac vs sd and that was because: 1: i just entered the specbench with insanity praccing, and since i was on the ventrilo channel with them and reason 2 i though, hey why not help them a bit. 2: they always have a spec and im damn sure those evil satanic cheating b4st4rds (especially flep!!! ;> ) are always doing it themselves too.

qwtv should be priority #1 if we want qw to be fair. At the moment there is no way to tell if some teams cheat with voicecom. Only qwtv cams + admins allowed to spec and 30sec delay in qwtv would fix this problem.

Another thing in this issue must be when u play vs clans that are @ lan? We just played mums and they were at lan and had spectators that also were at same lan. Now i just mention mums coz i know they had lan, no offense vs them, but isnt this the same thing? should you ban the other guys at that lan from speccing? Pretty hard issue i think.
