Signups for NQR8 are now closed.

These teams need to add their playerlists ASAP. Please do so by logging in at the top of the page and going to the "Members" section.

All teams have until Wednesday evening ~23 CET to add to their playerlists, and then we will publish the fixtures. Once the fixtures are out, no divisional changes can or will be made, and all player additions will be subject to approval by the admin team.

An announcement will be forthcoming this week regarding the new fuhquake build and regarding ezquake. EDIT: You can read a little about the new fuh ruleset here.

I can also reveal that the map vote was very close between E2M2 and Schloss and due to the numbers involved we may have to have a second round of voting. More details to follow.

In other news, Firing Squad won their first ever NQR title last night by beating Slackers 2-1 in the final of NQR Invitational Classic Cup. Congratulations to FS and I hope that the NQR8 season is as exciting as yesterday's match proved to be.

My lame opinion: If it is a close race between a 9 year old single player map and a brand new DM map, then i REALL REALLY REALLY think that the admin crew should try and look over at the CML3 league and look at all the good games on Schloss. Some decisions should not be voted on. Flame on e2m2-lovers.

I've said this before, if you don't go with E2M2 you will lose ALL of your swedish ctf-players! BELIEVE ME YOU DON'T WANT TO DO THAT!

Na, e2m2 is great. The start-area, exit-area and the water-areas are ESPECIALLY designed for 4on4 tdm!

I like E2M2 but like Links ays, the end area (at least the water) and high water levels kinda suck for 4on4. The start area and end area would be handy for end of match CSing (vital part of QW, just look at E1M2) . This is why we need E2M2TDMb! :)

If a new version is needed, then I suggest some of the "whiners" suggest what to change on the map. Saying that the original one is better than the TDM-version sure sounds like some old cavemen politics to me. So why the original one is voteable is a mystery (...or not).

Didn't I already suggest some changes? :) The TDM version that was played before was almost TOO connected because you could get round the map with quad shaft several times over. The positioning of the YA also made it easier to lock down the RL. Just some food for thought.

e2m2 is more fun then e2m2tdm, but then again I'm no map-editing lover. Take the map as it is or ditch it :>. e2m5 forever \o/. Even though I have to admit that e3m6(?) with the bug is more fun in TDM then the original :>.

I think should be used diferent maps...always de sames... dm2, dm3 and e1m2 classics...always should be in Nqr but then add 2 diferent maps

cuz thats what they have been doing for a while. (some maps have stayed 2 seasons though)
I think we can play grim and schloss this season and play "randomname1" and "randomname2" next season...
