Virus Warning on IRC! 021020
|

|
This is a little update about a mIRC virus worm beeing spread throughout the IRC Network. As far as we know it's not a desctructive virus just really anoying!
If you receive a link from someone when joining a channel then _DON'T_ press the link, if you do you will instantly be infected with the virus worm. Thus you will be sending the virus to all ppl that join the channels you are on.
To remove the virus worm follow theese instructions.
Type: /unload -rs server.ini | remove server.ini | timers off | ignore -r
Once you have typed this you should be clean of the virus.

hej bullen, f?r ett tag sedan chattade jag p? internet med ett program som heter mirc. en dag n?r jag kom in p? en kanal s? sade en person till mig att g? in p? en speciell hemsida. f?rst blev jag lite r?dd och v?ldigt tveksam. det var ju lite ok?nd mark s?d?r, en hemsida jag aldrig tidigare sett. jag hade nu ett stort dilemma att brottas med; klicka eller inte klicka. nyfiken som jag ?r var jag tvungen att klicka och vips s? hade jag virus p? min dator. nu ?r jag j?tteledsen och helt f?rst?rd ?ver h?ndelsen. jag har redan gnuggat rakbladet mot handleden utan resultat... jag vet inte vad jag ska ta mig till, sn?lla bullen hhj?lp mig!

Yet another virus that depends on user stupidity to propogate, which doesn't really qualify it as a virus, just a clever exploit combined with an mIRC script.
Oh for another CIV-style virus to cull the clevar people for a while.
