NQR Playoffs soon to start. 031125
|
|
|
|
The NQR Crew will go through the Division rankings to see if they are correct, and it will take some time to do that ;).
And only after we have confirmed the Division 1 rankings to be correct and official we will announce who will face who in the upcomming NQR Playoffs.
A roundup of the lower Divisions will also be posted after this "check" has been done of all Divisions.

This season was great and me and my teammates want MORE! So please give us playoffs for each division, especially since there will be less divisions next season so being 1st or 4th doesnt mean anything atm. And to be honest, i dont give a flying fuck to the div1 playoffs, they dont interest me at all. I WANT TO PLAY GODDAMIT! |

There has been mistakes from admins whom approved some WO games during catchup week..have corrected that now :/
Apollyon: Glad to hear that you?ve had a good time, but unfortunately there will be no playoffs for each div this season, except div 1. You?ll have to wait until next season when NQR 6 will contain a very nice playoff scenario that involves the top teams in all divisions. ^J^ |

Well, there's nothing stopping the individual divisions from doing a top4, 6 or 8 inofficial playoff, just 1vs4 and 2vs3 or something like that. What say yee div2-clans? |

We had relegation/playoff games for the lower divisions last season. But you guys...that qualified for it didn't show the interrest needed for it to run smoothly, and i might add, if WE the NQR Crew had provided the Relegation/Playoff table earlier after regluar seasons ending, it might have had been able to run smoother. But what happened happened, nothing to it but to learn from your mistakes. So with that in mind, and that Kryten is our only active coding phreak we decided to not have any relegation/playoffs for this season. It was either that or no league at all, and i don't think you would've have liked the last choice no would you ;)?
Next season holds some great things for all clans in all "Divisions"...

I didnt mean to offend anyone. What makes NQR so fun and interesting is that you get to play a lot of games against (more or less) euqal skilled clans. I guess the same goes for div1 players and they will have even more fun with some playoff games while for everyone else the season has ended already. NQR, at least for me, is not a "spectator league" where you follow a lot of games, for me it is a playing league and i am sad that i will have to wait one or two or maybe even three months before i can play in this great league again. |

Max Rebo makes a good suggestion, teams could make the playoffs amongst themselves. However, the teams in first place might be reluctant to give up their #1 position :)<br><br>
Personally I'm not a big fan of playoff structures anyway, I like the league system to see who is best over the course of a season rather than one-off "lucky" games. Playoffs make a nice spectacle in QW, but I think if they weren't there, it would raise the competitiveness and atmosphere of League matches. E.G. if Slackers lose to CMF in regular season, at the moment it doesn't really matter as they know they will make the playoffs anyway. If there were no playoffs, that game would be much more exciting :) |

IMHO the great idea is to put in all div about twenty clans and for each make playoffs for 8 best clans. I don't see to do playoffs for 8 clans, where are only 12 clans. This means that 66% of div gonna play in playoffs. And why only for div1?
