There is no damagebug on E3M7, there is a bug in KT Pro which sets the handicap on some players to 1% on E3M7. Easily fixed by turning off handicap. |

Based on the fact that this client is "new" and fairly untested, i do not belive we will allow it in NQR 7. You should be happy that NQR 7 even happened now..we were on the verge to halt/stop it this season and not start until we had the new page/code finnished with the new site. But when NQR starts QW lives more or less ;)...so have fun and enjoy the season. |

No Diki, MQWCL has full security and has been unmodified since 2 (?) years back, while ezQuake releases a new codebase every day, ezQuake is still in early beta, IMHO. Who cheats today flint? Well, I got a reminder yesterday (by HT) of the RVS-project back in 2000, where a lot of quite well known players used a cheatclient with a built in trojan that reported their games to the authors. That the database during the few months the project was running reached a size of 60 MB really says it all. Sorry, people cannot be trusted not to cheat. |

Angua I wish it would be possible to include all maps in NQR. Variety is the spice of life. However, we need to cater to a wide range of tastes, which means choosing the most popular maps. I quite like E2M2, E3M1, even E4M3, but they wouldn't work in NQR and would just cause more trouble than its worth. CMT3 was very popular in the custom cup and was the most popular map in the end of season poll last year. E3M7 and E2M7 also came out quite popular in that, and all 3 maps have been mentioned in discussions. The crew agreed that a 5 map pool works best and considering the growing popularity of CMT4, we figured this would be the best way to decide it. Obviously we can't please everyone; that's impossible. I'd like to see someone invent a system which is to everyone's tastes, but I don't think that's ever going to happen. I hope that answers your question a little better. |

I think what they have proposed is acceptable and can't see why others shouldn't do the same. It's obvious there are as many wanted map pools as there are clans who signed up. I'm still waiting for that famous teamup league to start, or admortem to resume it's success.. Why keep whine about map pool in NQR instead of using energy on other projects that will allow you to play ANY map you want? |

Yes, thank you gaz, much better answer there - so now I'm almost content. Though the problem is still there, what map is most popular in a custom-cup isn't really too interesting, right? Then I could make an Angua-made-map-cup, join it with 2 clans and play my map, thus qualifies it as the most popular map in that tournament (and earns an electionspot in nqr) What about voting for *.bsp in the seperate divisions -> playing the ~3 most voted maps for seperately in divisions as we've seen in qw.nu-posts none wants to improve anymore, so it wouldn't really hurt having different rules/mappools/other(?) for seperate divisions? already thought of ? I too would be more than happy if more leagues came up, but as I can't do shit in coding or likewise, so I can't be the one to form it. Angua: CMT4 is a modified map in the first place :) I expect you know this already but the original is called "androm9.bsp" (there's a version of that which is closer to CMT4 called androm9b.bsp; it has more rox than CMT4.bsp but it's the same otherwise). A9 was great fun but really easy to lock; the YA room had an RA instead of YA, an LG instead of SSG and a load more ammo. Thus to win the map you could just camp in there and rush quad together because within a couple of mins you had a whole team of players with RA, RL and LG :P |

It's not a problem having divs, the problem is that NQR changes the div-system every year, so it really doesnt matter if you win a division or get rock bottom, you might not get promoted or relegated anyway...so yeah, then div. system is pretty lol, because of the change in clans and the line-up in clans. If you instead had a system that you kept season after season, then clans could relate more to that. How can clans and the scene adapt themselfes to a league when the league-system change every year? That's pretty hard. And keep on with the map whining, that is really fun :> When you accept dm2 as a 4on4 map, then you really should stfu about how bad other maps are...rofl :> You see, dm2 proves that bad maps also can be great 4on4 maps...you only need to KNOW the map. I'd like to think we can keep the same system but of course, it depends on the amount of active clans. Where possible we will try to promote/relegate but the QW scene is such that clans fold often and new ones spring up, making it tough to place them correctly. |

Agreed gaz, but it we really should try and settle with one system ;). Allthough this promote/relegate system is extreamly hard to get to work good in a scence like QW. |

The seasons have to be much shorter for a relegation promotion system to work. Maximum one month imo. |
